Testing and Accreditation

We utilize the nationally standardized Stanford Achievement test to provide the large percentage of our students who are in military families a smoother academic transition to other school districts throughout the world. Our students consistently test above their grade levels on the Stanford Achievement test.

Test results are a reflection of the grade equivalent median score.

The Stanford Achievement test is one type of standardization testing available to school districts across the United States. TCS uses this test to determine how much their students understand in a variety of subjects, and then plan to address any deficiencies the test scores show.

Stanford Achievement test is available in levels 1 to 13 (Kindergarten through 12th grade), so students of all ages can take this test from year to year to measure progress. The Stanford Achievement test is composed of multiple choice and open ended questions. This allows educators to use measureable answers and subjective answers from their students to assess student understanding. Stanford Achievement test covers a variety of subjects for each grade level.

Stanford Achievement test is a standardized test, which means there are requirements for when, where and how long the students take this test. This ensures that all students are taking the test in the same manner, regardless of the school they attend. This way their scores can be reasonably compared.

The following are TCS test scores for the year 2012 - 2013. Truly God continues to lead and guide this school. The scores below are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our students and teachers here at TCS.

Tabernacle Christian School prides itself on providing both on and off-site training opportunities for its staff. It has been proven that educators must continually "learn" in order to offer students the most current and efficient education possible. Many factors go into the type of trainings provided. The state mandates certain trainings for various staff members for the school to be in compliance with state regulation. Disaggregation of data by administration and staff also offers another avenue of needed training. Listed below are the TCS required annual professional development hours.

  • 18 hours for hourly staff
  • 20 hours for educational assistants
  • 24 hours for teachers
  • 10 hours for office personnel
  • 42 hours administrative hours every two years
